Glen Porter

My wife, Nancy, and I have been members of the National Christian Business Network since August 1999. I currently serve as Vice President of Administration and also provide accounting services for the organization.

I am married to Nancy E. Porter and we have four children, two sons and two daughters.  We also have three grand children.  Two of our children live in Owensboro, Kentucky, one in Atlanta, GA and one in Asheville, NC.  We are originally from Owensboro, but have lived in Knoxville since 1987.  We are members of First Baptist Church Concord in Farragut, Tennessee and are active in Sunday School and the church racquetball league.

We own and operate the Knoxville office of Padgett Business Services, an international, small business accounting and tax reporting franchise company headquartered in Athens, Georgia.  Padgett has over 450 offices in the US and Canada and is ranked the number one small business accounting firm in the US by Accounting Today.  Our office provides accounting, tax, payroll and general business consulting services to the small business community, which we define as a business with 20 or fewer employees.  Padgett is known for it's innovative financial products and services and proactive style of service to its clients.

I am a graduate of Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky.  I have a BS degree with a major in Accounting and Business Administration and a minor in history.  I have over thirty years experience in both the public and private sectors of accounting and finance.  Public sector experience includes metal fabrication, wire and cable manufacture, food service and mortgage banking.  Public accounting includes auditing and taxes with a concentration in the small business area.  I am a CPA with active licenses in both Tennessee and Georgia.
